yes, nursing is one of the highest demand jobs right now! they don't make as much in canada as in the us, but at least there are plenty of jobs available. if my sister ever wanted to come to canada, nursing would be her best route, so i was happy to hear about the change. :)
That is not true about salary..It is all in the area that your in currently and moving to. As a general summary for Canada salary differences I do not know

Ahhh I see....thanks for clarifying. In my case I have no one who is dependant at all...just the two of us...still transferred to LA....you never know why it wud get transferred. There are many reasons...lets not loose hope I have heard positive things as well....guys keep our fingers crossed and pray for each other!

I read a bit about how your application was sent to LA. . .

Mine was too, shortly after they received my application. We have an easy peasy application - no children, no criminal backgrounds, young, ect. We were devastated.

Last week we got an email notifying us our application was sent BACK to Ottawa and the requested my Meds and the RPRF fee. . . .so there is hope it could be sent back to Ottawa. We are just around 5 1/2 months into the waiting process.

Hey, thanks for the reply and update. Funny thing is, according to our lawyer the file was sent to US initially, I assume it was sent to LA I am not sure if it did go to US or stayed in Ottawa that is still a mystery. But now that you mentioned, I feel our file was initially in LA and we got a letter stating it was sent to Ottawa for furthur review and they asked for RPRF and FBI clearance. Once, they recieved all that and acknowledged, they sent it back to LA...which is why I am confused really. So yours might be sent back to LA as the applicant may just be from states and they prefer to have that file processed in US visa office. Not to confuse you, but our file is as clean as it can be as well, I just feel that my wife is not a citizen of us that is why it is a delay or that may be the only thing it may have gone back to LA. Seems like normal procedures to me, but definitely slower than Ottawa. Also, I think you are an inland applicant which is usually longer to process especially if it has gone back to US. In my case, it is outland which they say should be faster and I have applied in on Dec 3rd and still waiting.

What's the difference between a New Yorker and a Canadian?

The placement of the 'eh'

In New York, they say "Eh, what's up?"

In Canada they say "What's up, eh?"

You are outland but the fact that you are already in canada gives less priority over people who are not in canada. This is said from pretty much all the lawyers I had spoken with.

that isn't true at all. CIC won't know if the person is in canada or not, and it has NO bearing on the application processing tiem. i'm in canada visiting my husband, submitted my application in march and just got decision made.

what your attorney is probably referring to is the inland process vs the outland process appears to favor outland applicants in terms of processing times. either that or he's an idiot!

Yeah I don't think that Lawyer knew what he was talking about sadly. Whatever you hear from a lawyer I would suggest you double check with the users here. A good percentage of the time they are wrong haha

I do agree with lawyers being idiots....I know mine is for sure as I have to do half the work for him and the fact that he outsources his admin team who files application on my behalf to another country....its been a horrific experience!

if you know your lawyer to be an idiot and not provide accurate information, then kindly refrain from using what he tells you as fact on the forum. it will just lead to greater confusion for others.
