Sarnia border. Worst service ever.

Sorry u had to go through that :( but CONGRATS!

For those that crossed through the Blaine, WA crossing...

is the Blaine Crossing the one off the 5 Freeway (with the Peace Arch)? or do I have to go to where all the Commercial Vehicles and Truck Customs go to (i believe that is off of 176th Street)?

Please check out this map I made for verification: http://oi58.tinypic.com/2airpz7.jpg

Thanks in advance!

IIIIIIII landed todayy. Yippy. At the US boarder I told them I want to flagpole so they gave me a piece of paper and told me to pull over to go inside. Everything was cool amd they stamped my papers and they were super nice and told me what to do next. So we turned around to get to the Canadian border and the dude was like what are you to each other so my husband said we r husband and wife then be was like why did you marry a girl from the US. And my husband was like wtf why do u care. Then he kept asking stupid questions and making comments. Then he looked at my tummy and was like so is he the father to me and I was like are you serious now he said ma'am please answer the question so I said hell freaken yea he is the father and told him hes got no right to ask me questions like these and give me an attitude bc am American. At this point I lost it and didn't care if they refuse me or anything. Then he give us a slip n didnt say a word..so we pulled in to the building and a lady officer called us to the counter and the first sentence was why did they stamp your paper. This is going to be a problem and I cant help you. You need to reapply. I started laughing and crying at the same time. Then I felt like I was about to give birth right there bc I was so pissed offfff. Then another officer walked by and took the papers from her hand and said enough I will take it from here. I was with him not more than 5 mins. My husband was in denial. Holding me so I can cool down from all the stress the Canadian officers had given me. Seriously canada is that how you treat your neighbors? Instead of being happy now I keep crying. He filled out everything and said congrats and we left.

Congrats on landing! I'm sorry about what happen to you at the border..

That's pretty crappy but it's not an interpretation of Canada, just a louzy CBSA agent. Keep in mind that they often have to follow specific guidelines, whether they like it or not. They are also always under scrutiny. Anyway, not to defend them, I agree that that is a pretty crappy experience! I've had some really really bad ones crossing the US border as well. Congrats on landing though :)

DECISION MADE!

They received my application on march 17th 2014, Started processing my application on June 24, 2014, all medical is received, and i paid my RPRF fee last Tuesday (July 15, 2014) and emailed them scanned receipt of payment. I was told that it takes on average 2-4 months for the decision to be made (usually RPRF payment request is when they plan to give you a positive decision) but it's only been not even a week!!! Is it normal?? Should be worried???

Wish you could have recorded some of that and sent that to the media. That was extremely unprofessional. Did you at least get their names?

well ladies and gentlemen: ONE day after i paid my RPRF fee online and emailing them the receipt as requested, ONE DAY, and i received my CPR LETTER!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I'm in shock!!! I can go and land anytime!!! (only i'm not doing it until baby is born in 3 months....grrr). Anyways, the WHOLE process took only 4 months, from the moment we submitted application to Mississauga to receit of CPR! they really need to update their processing times of 15 months online (unless it was just a glitch for me). I wish you all speedy and smooth processing as well! Time to go celebrate!!!

That's awesome! We just paid ours on Tuesday so hopefully we get ours soon too :)

If you had paid the RPRF up front, you'd have received a PPR instead. An RPRF request is only sent when there is a positive selection decision. If they aren't asking for anything BUT the RPRF, you will be done, likely within 4 months (I usually tell people to figure 2-4 month delay if the RPRF is paid on request rather than up front).

Note: the RPRF fee receipt is sent to CPC-M. You should also send a copy to CPC-O, but updating your case for the payment is the responsibility of Mississauga.

Just a note that when we received our RPRF request, they asked us in the letter to send the receipt to the CPC-O email address, not the CPC-M email address.

yeah, same here. there was NO mention of sending it to Mississauga, it specifically said to send it to ottawa!
