US Embassy in Toronto - US visa appnts

I applied for B1/B2 visa with interview waiver and my application reached us consulate in Toronto on 2 May. At the ceac site it stated application received, case created 9th May and application updated on 9th May. I checked today and it stated application updated 23rd May and nothing else. What does this mean as no update on application was stated. Can anyone help and let me know what this means.

Hi folks,

I dropped off my passport for B1/B2 interview waiver at the post office on May 13. Subsequently the status shows as Case created on May 16 and last Updated May 23, but overall still in 'Application Received' status.
Anyone else with similar dates?

People who have applied for Drop box at toronto counslate, what was the waiting time before you received request to submit documents. My previous VISA was from toronto but after seeing the turn around time, I am thinking to go for ottawa. Do you think that would be an issue? thank you for your help.

After I qualified for drop-box, I received the instructions email in 1 week, even though the original email said wait time of 5 weeks

Application Approved DS-160 Status: Dec 9 2023
Visa Issued DS-160 Status: Dec 11, 2023
Expected Delivery: Dec 13, 2023 (Toronto)

Thanks to all that shared their updates previously. In summary, from the date you submit your DS-160 application (after payment), if no interview/additional documentation required, one should expect their application to be completed in 2 months. Out of this your passport will be submitted for a month. Hope this helps, Good luck to all and stay positive!

I am in middle of applying US visitor visa for my mother. Her previous 10 year visa expired last week. Based on information I found online she should get interview waiver but unfortunately system is asking me to book an appointment. Can anyone help/guide please?

I was interviewed for a B2 visa on Dec 7, 2023, in the Vancouver Consulate, but my case needs administrative processing. The officer told me that I would receive an email with the DS-5535 form to fill out and send back with some additional documents. I have not received the email yet. Does anyone have any experience with how long it takes to receive the email? Should I email the required documents and ask them to send me the DS-5535 form?

Visa type - B1/B2 Renewal at Toronto Consulate (earlier visa was issued in Mumbai, India in 2013)

Visa application submitted online : October 15th
Automated mail received for Interview waiver & submission of passport + documents : October 17th
Documents Drop-off at Canada Post : October 17th
Reached Consulate : October 18th
Case created: October 23rd
Case Approved : October 25th
Visa issued on : November 4th
Ready for pick up at Canada Post : November 6th (today)

P.S. I live in Toronto.

Hello everyone

I applied for B1/B2 visa renewal from Toronto Consulate.
Previous visa was issued from Ottawa,Canada

Online submission of visa application - 5th Jan
Request for document submission - 10th Jan
Documents submitted via Canada Post- 11th Jan
Delivery to consulate as per Canada Post tracking - 14th Jan

Till this date, my status on link was reflecting as 'No Status'

Status got changed to 'Application Received' - 17th Jan
Case updated - 21st Jan

Does application Received means confirmation of documents received by consulate??

And any rough idea in how time can I expect next Status update.

Will really appreciate if somebody can put their thoughts on above
