Tank you for your response. That is cleared.
As someone else already suggested, they should be fine.

Is this your first stamping in Canada??Hi, (RE: DS 160 from Toronto)
I was asked to submit my passport of 19th Jan 2023 and I did sent it the same day. The Passport was received on 23rd Jan 2023, since then I have no update.
Do you think I should email the consulate and get an update on the status?
No, Second time. Applied for waiver but was called in for interview. Is this your first stamping in Canada??
Ok. When you were called for interview why did they ask you send the passport? Didn't they take it when you have attended the interview? Can you please give your timelines? No, Second time. Applied for waiver but was called in for interview.

Hmm. strange. Hope they turn it back to Approved soon! Any idea what made them wait you for 2months in Admin processing without asking to submit any documents? Is this for H1b?Case created: 18th Oct 2022
Interview: 08th Nov 2022
Provided a 221(g) green form, case went into Administrative processing and passport was given back by the consular.
Status on 08th Nov 2022: Refused (i.e. undergoing Admin processing)
19th Jan 2023: Passport requested by Consulate for Visa Issuance although Status on CEAC remained 'Refused'.
07th Feb 2023: Status changed to Approved.
08th Feb 2023: Status changed to Administrative Processing
Just checked and that is what my status says, not sure why it went from Approved to Administrative Processing.

May i know the questions from your interview?
Oh man. Cool. You saved our chat here! If it was for H1b, lot of people here would have really panicked. There was holidays season in the middle, still its a long wait! Anyways good luckNo, its for B1/B2.
I don't know why it took 2 months, but it is what it is. No questions asked i guess LOL.
Generic questions for interview, nothing special.
It depends on what your currently do in Canada. You need to take your document presenting current status in Canada (study/work permit/PR card), pay stubs, potential itinerary, invitation letter if going to see a relative, resume/CV if you have STEM background, if student- transcript, ds 160 confirmation page, instructions letter printed from ais website, passport (the necessary documents are anyways listed on the instructions letter)Hello ,
I have interview appointment for US visitor visa in Toronto consulate office ( next week)
What document do I need to bring with me before attending the interview?
Just to come back to this. Approved for B2 visa, I was able to accompany my wife and translate for her. Interview was only 1 min long but the wait to get there was 2.5 hours. My wife has an appointment for B1 visitor visa next month. Would I be able to go in with her as her English skills are not strong enough or is there normally a translator they use? Anyone know what questions are asked?
