Hi all, my Us citizen child asylum claim was rejected but mine was accepted. What would be their status in canada as I am trying to sponsor him as my dependent.

May 11th 2023 case confirmation
June 17th 2023 1st interview/passport seize
July 7th 2023 Work permit
Sep 14th 2023 2nd interview/brown paper/IRB referral (Toronto)
15th Sep 2023 BOC submission to IRB
May 23 2024 ICAC disclosure package sent to IRB ☒ Regular Hearing: Half-Day (3 hours) with no Minster intervention (Disclosure of documents from the Integrated Claim Analysis Centre )
still waiting for hearing ....

What is your timeline?
You should be applying for a visitor record for your son every 6 months (or whenever their temporary stay expires) so that they try to avoid having a record of overstaying. A record of overstaying could create problems for travel in the future.

You have to include him in your PR application and select other and then write down rejected refugee claimant or refugee dependent.
