Guys,

Good news!!! Just now I got mail from CPC Ottawa confirming my wife's VO change to LA. It took around 20 days to get this response.

@ EricCartman - Yes, I requested after getting PPR.

Congratulations!

Congrats Manil...good news in the morning... :)

can i ask you a quick question... How did you send the reminder... Did you just write reminder in the subject line of the email... and send the previous mail again??

I know its a silly question but since you are successful. i wanted to take your opinion...

I was in the same situation, I got PPR to send my passport to Canada but I reside in Scotland, UK. I emailed CIC asking to change my passport submission to London office and waited for days with no answer.

I sent them a fax yesterday and got a reply today.

You guys might want to use fax as a mode of communication, it seems to work best for CIC.

Hey mate,

Congratulations on getting the reply back finally.

Could you please confirm that you get the reply back via mail or by fax?

I know this seems to be a silly question BUT it is good to have all the knowledge in hand.

Thanks anyways,
K

I added "Reminder#" in the subject line as well as I wrote a few lines explaining why I am sending reminder. In every reminder I sent my details with where I need to get the VO transferred to.

Hope this would be helpful.

Hello Every One
I have some confusion filling the appendix A for my spouse. Please help me out. In the Appendix A of my spouse, It says

“Please complete this form for yourself, your spouse/common-law partner, and your dependent children who will accompany you to Canada. Send the completed form with your passports. DO NOT send passports for non-accompanying family members”

My Spouse currently outside North America and she will be sending the passport to Singapore for PR stamping.
I, the principal applicant will be sending the passport to Ottawa

Q1: Am I accompanying her? I understand I would be accompanying her only if I would send the passport to Singapore as well? Since I am sending my passport in Ottawa, I am not accompanying her.
Q2: If the above is true, I will just have to fill the applicant column in Appendix A and the applicant will be my spouse. I (the Principal Applicant) should not put my information in the spouse column since I am not accompanying her?

Hi Curious_123

I hope by Appendix you mean the eye color, height chart.

In my case, my wife and I filled these separately. i.e.
I filled only my details and she filled only hers since we sent our passports separately.

Coming to your questions, you will be accompanying her to Canada. Since Primary and Secondary applicant need to be together for the first entry.
But you don't need to fill each others' detail in your Appendix forms as your passports are being sent to different locations for stamping.

Hope that helps.

Manil

One quick question, how long with no response did you send a reminder to Ottawa for the VO change ?
Thanks a bunch !

It took me a day. I have to change mine from Ottawa to Singapore VO for me and Philippine VO for my dependents. Try sending them an email during canada office hours to avoid your email being piled over. And yes, you should receive an email from your mycic. ppr letter content should come from the visa office you requested.

Thanks for the suggestion ;) They confirmed within a day ? Wow, lucky you that's super fast :)
I did send the VO change request by email AND fax on Friday, let's pray they respond either on monday or tuesday.
Last question, I'm not risking my application to be rejected because of a VO change correct ? (nobody reported being rejected after VO change, just wondering)
