Another quick question Manil, when you sent email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca, did you attach any explanation letter or passport request letter or just sent a basic mail ..

I didn't attach any letter of explanation but the original PPR. You must mention your First Name, Last Name, UCI Number, Application Number, Date of Birth and location in the request letter.

That might well be the law in India, but there is no law in Canada/the U.S. which prohibits your wife from mailing her passport to Ottawa.

HTH.

Just send the email to change the office for my spouse...Hope they will reply soon....

People who are in Canada right now, are you going to send your passport now or wait for your spouse visa office to change ?

Hi Guys,

No reply from CHC yet. Sent a reminder to them yesterday as well. We are not being left with many options now. Still waiting till this Friday. Keeping fingers crossed.

:( :(

Hi Manil
Are you requesting change of VO after receiving PPR?

Guys,

Good news!!! Just now I got mail from CPC Ottawa confirming my wife's VO change to LA. It took around 20 days to get this response.

@EricCartman - Yes, I requested after getting PPR.

Has anyone considered simply submitting it to the local visa office without waiting for cic to say you can? Maybe I'm a huge risk taker but that's what I plan to do. I'll send them an email to say that I'm routing the passport but is there any value in waiting for a response?

Someone reported trying this and being refused by the LVO because they had no information from CIC. Another member reported getting an online link where they could choose an LVO to send their passport after PPR. Nit sure how it works.

Ooooh, refusing because they had no info?! Wow, how involved are the LVOs in the processing then? I was just told by my friend that the girl who got ppr on Tuesday emailed cic to say that she's in Jamaica and she got instructions from the local visa office later that night.

KVO certainly seems to know their way around CIC regulations better than so many other VOs! :D
