Hi,

If We apply for a permanent resident application, and IRCC found out that we are not eligible.
Does our application just get refused? or Do we get prosecuted too?
Regards

Not enough information. IRCC can “punish” with bans and etc. Depending on the situation. What happened in yours?

Well, there is a special pathway to permanent residence for extended family members of former Afghan interpreters. I think I am eligible.

But if I apply and found that I am not eligible and that pathway is not for me and they refuse our application. Do we just get refused or prosecuted for applying for this program?

I do not know the specifics of that pathway, but basically as long as you tell the truth and disclose all material facts, no, they will not punish you and it should not affect future applications.

Salam bro, nobody is gonna prosecute you, if you are eligible they will tell you, and if not they will also notify you. Dont worry
