***URGENT*** Query regarding Medicals

Dear Seniors

Need your advice / suggestion urgently.

I recently did medicals (21st October) for my TWP+TRV and is all clear and received PPR on 5th Nov.

This morning I received MR for my PR application (CEC class), when I requested for an appointment, the Medical center told me that I dont need to do the medicals as the previous examination is valid for 1 year, now the question is, how will I let CIC know about this, what are my options?

1. I was given an acknowledgement receipt on 21st Oct that my Medicals are done, Should I scan it and e-mail it to CIC with my application number?

2. Or, should I take a photocopy of the acknowledgement receipt and courier it to CIC ? (which will take atleast 10 - 15 days)

3. Or, since the IME number is different, should I insist the medical center to carry out the examination and upload it under the new IME

hi,

why would you want to do another medical exam if you have one that is still valid ( note validity is one year from the date the exam was taken) so do not waste more money for something not needed at this point.
scan your acknowledgement of receipt given by your doctor and email it to CPP-ottawa asap,quote your file number,full name,date of birth and UCI number.CIC then will run a quick check in their system and find your results.
im very sure you do not need to take medical exam just do what i said and you will be fine.
your next step will be PPR just sit tight and watch,you are almost there.

I missed out a small complication, while me and my wife did our medicals for our TWP+TRV, my son's application was refused, but, for the PR, all three of us have received MR now.

So, should I do medicals separately for my son and attach that acknowledgement along with ours and send it?

Would that be fine?

yes your son will have to go for medical exam if you got a request for him for CPP-ottawa,and the doctor will submit it electronically if he is e-medical enabled physician.
as per CIC depends on your son's age he may not need to undergo blood/urine and/or chest x-ray tests,just inform the doctor's office when you phone in to book an appointement and they will clarify this to you.

First of all congrats on MR.

Regarding MR,

My spouse also had undergone medical for trv in sept. We got MR for PR on Tuesday, Nov 5th. I've emailed cpp Ottawa about her medical - waiting for their reply.

I'll update you once I get a reply.

Meanwhile, you can read section 16 (page 27) of op 15 www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op15-eng.pdf#page27 - it has details of MR reuse.

Cpp Ottawa replied that my wife's medical result from trv can be reused for pr as well

Hello BigBee,

Can you confirm that you used existing medical from a TWP+TRV on a new PR and they were accepted?

My spouse had medicals from a previous TWP+TRV (made in June 2016) and we just received MR in our PR application.
