Hi, can you direct me on how to request urgent processing. I am joining the army and needs a Canadian passport. My application is stuck since February 2022. Online application sucks. Can you show me the way on how to request urgent processing

I called them yesterday to check if my UP was approved or not and they said “according to the notes, the criteria was met.” So I asked them if they had any idea on when the next update was going to be and they said “maybe in a week or 2”.
But I see other people’s timelines and it usually takes a couple days to get background completion/ test invites after the ghost update.

I received an Email from CIC saying. Please help me understand if it means they approved it.
"We verified the information you provided regarding your request for urgent processing and have forwarded it to the responsible office.
They will contact you if further information is required or if a decision is made on your application.
....."

I got the same email over a month ago and no response.

Gotcha. I submitted mine today. It looks like it takes a few weeks for RCMP to mail the FPs to IRCC. My request came from Vancouver (I’m in Toronto).
So I’m guessing our urgent processing will be delayed by approximately a month because of FP.

Please let me know the progress of FP from the receipt you received from FP Agency. I'm planning to send on Monday.

yeah , same thing happened with me.

It changed back to decision made after one week on sep 7th nothing after. No oath date so far. Any changes on your file. Please let me know when you get any update or oath date. Thank you!

You should start with a letter from the army indicating that you have registered to join the army and the only thing that is delaying finalization is the proof of citizenship.
