Urgent: Problem Online Payment Study Permit !!!

I'm from Germany and would like to apply online for a Study Permit for Canada.

I've been trying to pay the fees online since yesterday but when I submit the transaction it keeps saying "Transaction not approved". I also tried another credit card, that received the same failure. The bank said, everything's alright with the card. They looked in the charge and realized that there was no amount to be transfered (should be 125 CAD).

The number one can find on the error message (Call Centre) is not available.

Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem? I do not want to submit the paper application because that will need to much time.

is it international card? and is it visa verified and also did you write the name correctly. Try visa rather master or maestro for getting payment done. or you can pay with virtual visa.

I've accomplished it only by using visa travel money with default currency set to CAD

Simply try it for some other transaction i.e purchase a software etc that has low price. if it works then might be problem with CIC otherwise your card could not pay transactions internationally. Many bank have Visa Card but don't have the facility of internationally transaction. I had also Visa but once i tried it for internationally transaction, it failed. So try for it for some other transaction or try with other card.

Try other card or call the bank if they have any restriction. use right name and address and make sure it is an international card.

Finally it worked out!!!

We tried it a few times and once it worked out. Did nothing else than the times before...

I still don't know what the problem was...

(We did try it with other credit cards - also other type of cards, mastercard, visa and so on). The credit card did already work out for international payments...)

I also faced this problem a little back. This problem occurs due to the postal code. The postal code must match with your bank account.

My postal code is MXX XX7 and according to bank my code is MXX XX8 so everytime I used to pay using XX7 it fails.

Hi Denise, I am also from Germany and applied on June 20th online for a study permit. Have you got your visa yet? I haven't heard from them yet. I always thought my application would go to Vienna but they told me it is in Canada. Hope to get the visa soon. Would be great to hear if you have any news! Thank you
