URGENT! PLEASE!permission to go to Canada from USA

Hi,
Im a Brazilian student in USA as a tourist. Im just accepted as an exchange student in USA during the fall and the University told me if I dont want to go back to Brazil to change my visa to a student visa I should go to Canada to do it because the process in USA take a long time. I dont have a visa to Canada. Is possible to get a permission to enter for a few hours in Canada to go to the consulate change my visa?

You need a visitor visa to enter Canada - even if it's just for a few hours.
