Do not worry. As you won't have a file number or any other reference from CIC as of now, you cannot send a cover letter and the certified document again as you wouldn't know where it will land up. So just wait. When they need it, they will ask you for it.leaf said:Hi there,
I attach one WRONG Uncertified passport to my application to CIC....It was an mistake...The certified one is still with me... has anyone have any experience in this situation??/ Please help!!!!
what should I do now????
dear friend the cic have mentioned in the guide that you need to certify all the copies of any original copy. copies of maybe translations, originals what ever the copies.Avadava said:Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you need to send a certified true copy of the passport. According to CIC "documents which are not in English or French must be accompanied by an English of French translation and must be certified as true copies".
As you didn't translate your passport, I don't think you need to send a certified copy of it. Just a regular copy is enough.
"Translation of documents
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:
the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document."
You are correct. If the passport copy is in English or French then no certification is required. It's all covered in the guide (as you have quoted above):Avadava said:Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you need to send a certified true copy of the passport. If the passport already has english fields in it so does not need translation, then it does NOT need to be certified. Just a regular photocopy is fine. Nowhere in the guide does it say all copies need certifying.leaf said:as it said on the guide, all the copies need certifying. I did ... but I sent the uncertified one to the CIC... after sending, I just realized the certified passport is on my desk... I dun know what to do...(
never! but send it if they request it, on time. i meant before the time. dont worry. good luck to both of youleaf said:Hi all,
Thank you for your replies....
I think the only thing I can do now is ... wait...
Do you think they will reject my entire application just because of ONE uncertified document?
cheers,
