I completed my upfront medical on February 2, 2015. The panel physician did not provide me with either an eMedical receipt or IMM 1017. I had to ask them for proof and they gave me their typical office receipt indicating that I completed a Canadian immigration physical. When I asked her about proof, the assistant told me that that was routine procedure to just provide that office receipt. I feel like they have no idea what they're doing.

They used eMedical to send my records to CIC. What do I do about proof????

Hi there where did you do your upfront medical exam what country? They should give you a copy with a logo of emedical at the top of the paper and a barcode.

I completed mine in the United States. I asked them about proof and they basically refused to give me any form or receipt, besides their typical office receipt, which I had to ask them to make one for me.

The panel physician's office is in Los Angeles, California.

You need the eMedical form they should have gotten. You might have to go back. If you have to, call the CIC call centre from the doctors office and then let the agent tell them to stop being idiots and follow their procedure.

You could also print out a copy of the physicians manual on the CIC website...

After reading their manual, it states that eMedical physicians have a patient's records for 365 days. They can actually select "print summary." Is this "summary" the same thing as the receipt? I contacted them about it and I am waiting for their answer.

I am not sure, possibly? I remember what my wife's looked like, but I don't know the title or anything.

Are you sure the doc office is a panel physician, it seems like something really easy to do, to print an emedical receipt, i didn't even have to ask my panel physician for one, she just gave it to me once i paid my ridiculous medical fees for the exam, they could easily print it from their system if they are in fact a licensed panel physical by cic, it is a 1 minute process, not sure why your doctor is being ridiculously difficult.

Yes, it was the same with me.

Yes, the doctor is a CIC panel physician. His name is Dr. Brath, he is located in Los Angeles, California. He is one of the three physicians in California. I am so surprised that they did not give me the required proof. I am hoping they will just scan it over via email so I can include it with my application.

Update: The office was able to send the eMedical receipt via email. HOORAY! To any future people who may run into this problem, your office should be able to pull up your receipt/summary up to a year after your medical. ;D

Hi cali2bc, I am in same situation with Dr. Brath's office now. Can you please suggest what did you mentioned to them that made them understand what we are requesting?
