I am from Bulgaria and I am going to apply for a visa in Romania.
IN IMM5257E in section 9 I should fill the Country where applying.
If I say Romania, than I should choose between:
Citizen, permanent resident, worker, visitor, student, other, protected person, refugee claimant,

which should I choose???? And it has from/to dates? Which dates should I fill in?

And one more question about "Funds available for my stay (CAD)"? What amount do you think is best to fill in
if I am visiting my sister and I have a letter that she will cover up all my expenses.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me.

You will apply as "Visitor" . So, select that option in your application.

As for your question regarding money for the trip its usually $1000-1500 for every month you plan on spending in canada.4

Hope this helps.

Cheers

You're from Bulgaria, but applying for a TRV from Romania. Then you've to put Bulgaria in Section-7 and your status in Bulgaria (I guess 'citizen'). In section-9, you insert 'Romania' and your status in Romania. If you're a visitor, put visitor. If you're not a visitor/student/worker there and just sending application to Romania, select 'other' and specify the reason in "Other" box.

Even though your sister promises to cover your expenses, your personal funds will be checked. CIC will not overlook your financial situation since you're trying to enter Canada as a visitor and you should be well-off to bear your own costs. Having said that, if you're planning to visit for a month, showing $1000 in your bank may not be enough at all.

Thanks for the help of both you very much!!!

About Section 9, I thouth the same actually but not sure .... to write Romania, than "Other" and than Applying for a Visa for example ...
But here are dates "From" - "To" which actually bothered me .... When I try to put the "From" date it says the date must be equal or less than the date I am filling my application .... and If I am only applying for the visa than what that should I write as "TO" .... this was confusing here ...

And about the Funds, in one of the themes here I read a guy said that I should have a copy of my vank account deposit as if to confirm that I have that much of a money, what do you think about this as well?

Thanks once again for helping me with this!!!

Ties to your home country, as strong and many as you can think of. Do you have a permanent job? Get your boss to write a letter explaining you have xx number of holidays and are expected back in your position on xx date. Finances: make sure you show a proper statement, not just ask your bank to run off your balance for you. VO will look for official letterhead, evidence that the money hasn't just been deposited (so providing a number of statements, say 0, 2 and 4 months old). I know someone who showed over $3,000CDN and that wasn't deemed to be enough. Remember to include documents proving who your invitor is (copy of PP, Revenue Canada tax return). Just think of everything you can from the perspective of the VO. Good luck.

You may also want to have the person inviting you notarize their letter and PP/citizenship documents.

Thanks again for the support.

Just one more thing left. I am travelling with my 8 year old daughter.
I have her Application form filled but I don't know who should SIGN it, should it be SIGNed at all?

Does anybody knows anything about this?

Thanks in advance once again!

Sorry I don't know about the signature...does it tell you anything in the instructions about that? What struck me was - do you have sole custody or a letter of permission from your daughter's father for her to travel out of country? Just a thought. All the best.

Pippin, thanks once again for your quick answer.

Yes I have the letter from her father. Actually I know started to read everything again and it's written :))))
But obviously I haven't ready carefully enough :)) For your information as well, on the back of the application with small letters is written that the parent signs the documents if the child is under the age of 18.

Regards.
