Hi, I am planning to visit my boyfriend in Canada for Christmas this year. I have already purchased my air tickets and I'm super stressed about the visa process given my current situation. Also in the past, I had successfully got a TRV from the Embassy in Delhi in 2002 when I visited an old school friend. I was 17 and single at that time.

Question 1: Are there higher chances of my visa being denied by the Embassy in Delhi if my boyfriend writes the letter of invitation mentioning that I am his girlfriend?
Question 2: We plan on getting engaged soon, so if my TRV is denied will it have any negative impact on my PR application in the future?
Question 3: I have a friend there who can also send me the invitation letter instead of my boyfriend - Will this better my chances of getting the TRV?

Would sincerely appreciate your valuable advice.

Dont mentioned on the letter that you are her girlfriend because the visa officers will assume that you guys plan to marry there. Just tell him that write only that you are his friends only

Thanks realtwenty, but won't it affect my PR application in the future when I am married to him and I mention that I was in a relationship with him during the time I visited Canada in December 2012?

It won't affect. Just pretend that you are just a friend because i think its getting get more chances if you say that you're just a friend than to a girlfriend. .
You're purpose is to just visit him right? So at the end of your visit then leave canada. Then in the future you can apply for common Law partner if you want to go back there.

By the way you've said that you apply for a tourist visa before when you are 17 and its been approved? So what ties you attach on you're documents?
Because i'm only 17 now & planning to apply for TRV This october.

I was in college then, so I had a letter from my college mentioning that I was a student and would be back after my holiday to resume classes. Also you need a No Objection Letter from your parents etc. All the best with your application! :)

Did you send to the embassy your school of registration too ? And then aside from the letter of my school and the letter of my parents what other things you've
given to the embassy to show your ties ?
