Hi, thanks for you time.

I got my PGWP last month, the length is only 1 year. I used my diploma to apply for it online and my program was a two year program(clearly stated in the official letter I submitted), but since I transferred some of my credits from other institutions where I was full-time student. The actual length I studied in the last institution is only 1 year.

I was told by agents, friends who applied and school officers that I can get 3 year work permit since the length of the program is 2 years and I actually fininshed more than 2 years in 3 institutions. But when I called CIC agent regarding the length, they told me the length of the PGWP is only mattered with the study duration of the program, and since I studied for only one year in the last institution, then PGWP is 1 year.

Can anyone tell me what should I do? Can I re-apply and get 2 or 3 year PGWP?

Was the other institution a Canadian school or outside of Canada?

They are all Canadian post-secondary institutions. I applied online, and the education category of IMM5710E only allowed me to fill in one institution, therefore, the length I can fill is only 1 year. Please help me.

Consulting Agent told me it is because the incomplete information of the schools I filled in under employment section of IMME 5710E. I only filled in one institution. But I studied in 3 to complete the 2 year program. It is the first time I apply this online, can anyone tell me if there is possibility to re-apply and get another one. Please advise me what to do.

I learnt I made a huge mistake for incomplete information under employment section, I don't know I should fill in this section with all my educations in Canada before I apply. CIC recommended to apply by myself. I just want to know can I re-apply? What should I do?

I am in same situation here, but little bit different.
I finished 2 years diploma program (Actual length is 16months according to school website), my actual length of study is 22 months. My PGWP is only 14 months. But I found that the program is considered as 2 year diploma program according to Government website and 2 more governme nt related website. (Even it is indicated so in my school guide book for candidates) I went to international student office, they said I can re-apply with explanation letter, and they promised me they will give me a letter from school. However, chances are 50/50. I will try again, but one lawyer said you better ask CIC first what is the reason for that. I don't know whether CIC agent would explain it to me or not. All my friends got 3 years PGWP, I feel so frustrated.

Did anyone re-apply and get up to 3 years?
Please help!!

I'm quite confused for what the CIC agent told me, because I studied more than 2 year in 3 institutions to finished the program, but I didn't filled the other two when I apply online all by myself, I learnt that I made a mistake after I asked advice from an consulting agent.

I just want to know whether I can try to fix this problem by re-submit my application because this is very important for me to work longer in Canada without further extension since my bf is still on campus.

I want to get professional judgement and advice from VIP and senior members in the forum, but I got no response. I'm depressed all day about my mistake.

This lesson cost me too much too learn.

I made this mistake, I just want to know is there any chance I can fix it by adding letter of explanation and transcript, and complete information and duration of length studied in each institution.
