I have no idea why they say Atlanta specifically, afaik PCC's are either state or federal. Anything you'd be arrested for by the Atlanta police department should show up on the state certificate.

one thing i want to clarify is i have provided FBI clearance
and now they are asking for state clearance i think so
because i have resided in atlanta georgia usa
so can u please confirm shall i proceed

Sometimes CIC asks for state certs. If CIC asks for state certs - you have to provide them.

and its good but i have got police clearance request from atlanta gerogia
for period from 1992 to 2002
because i have resided 3 times in atlanta georgia between these periods
so pls can u tell me is it possible to get spesific date wise pcc or
if i can get pcc now it covers my whole time period till last i visited

If you get a police certificate, it should cover all the time up to now. If that is longer than what is requested or needed, there should be no problem - it will just show no results for that extra time period, which is fine.

I have inquire in atlanata police department they have told that I have to provide a valid id of usa
say driving licence or anything
but I was on visitors visa I don't have anything so what should I do

is there any evidence that say that any thing done in atlanata should show up
in state certificate
so that I can explain them via yhat letter
or if gbi certificate itself in it says that atlanata city is covered

Get the Georgia state police certificate. This covers Atlanta as well. You could also explain that you tried to get a certificate from only Atlanta, but that you could not - explain why not, and provide proof of that if you have any (such as an email from the Atlanta police stating they cannot give you the certificate for whatever reason).

Could you also show us what exactly the letter you got from the visa office said?

Usually is CIC is requesting a state specific certificate it needs to be on official paper and such, much like the FBI certificate. This will ensure CIC that you have not committed any crimes on a state level that would not show up on a federal fingerprint certificate.

An example would be if you have a DUI in Georgia, then it may not show up on a federal fingerprint search therefore your FBI certificate would be clear. Usually if they are asking for a state certificate there is something in your background check causing them to have to look more closely to either confirm/deny that it is you that is triggering the flag.

You may need to contact them, via telephone, and ask them how you can get a state certified police certificate from out of country. Perhaps you can use a chaneler for that as well now.
