URGENT HELP - Lost Indian Passport with Valid Visa

Hello Everyone,

I lost my indian passport with a valid Canadian passport in Toronto, Canada.
Since then, I have traveled to India but to reapply for my Visa I need a police report.

The Toronto police refuse to give me a copy of the police report. Can someone please tell me how to go about reapplying??
I need to fly back to Canada in 3 weeks and I don't have a stamped Visa! Please Help!

How do I apply for a replacement Visa without a Police Report??

How long it took to get a visa the first time around is irrelevant. This kind of thing takes more time, usually 2 months. They will have to verify the police report, classify your passport as stolen/lost and stop it from being used at border points. Then they will process your new application.

As for applying without a Police Report. You can't. The Toronto Police are required to give you a copy if you request one. I'm not sure why they aren't giving it you. Could you elaborate on that? Did they say why they won't give it to you?

u lost it in toronto, thn rush to indian embassy in toronto/consulate, they will issue u a new passport there only...bt u must have a photocopy of the lost passport

your first statement is confusing me, u say u lost it in toronto canada and then you travelled to india .... where did you lose it, if you lost it in Canada , how did you fly to India then without a passport ?
