Hi

We finally got PPR after a long wait but currently have in our letter saying submit it to New Delhi visa office but my husband does not live in India and we would like the stamping to be done in Australia since passports cannot be mailed internationally. Wondering if anyone else has asked in the past to get their stamping done in another country other than the visa processing office and Canada and how long it has taken the Immigration to respond back and have they usually done that?

What was the best way to contact them and get the change of visa office done for stamping?

Any suggestions and advice will be highly appreciated as we only have 25 days left for submitting passport!

Thanks!

The email should have information on what to do in this situation, something like "If you or your family members are residing outside North America .... "

I have done that not for PR application, but for my permanent residency app. I sent them an email immediately after i received email for PR. They do respond back, within a day or 2. GL.

Hi Aquakitty,

The letter has nothing like that written on it....it just says to submit passport to New Delhi or to CPC in Ontario!

Can we ge tthem to change the visa office for stamping?

Hi nartcr,

It has been a week already and we have not heard back to our emails. When they switched your visa office, was it a long process? Did it take a lot of time?

Dear priya_7

Did you hear back from Delhi Visa Office regarding change of Visa Office for immigrant visa stamping?

If yes, how long it took Delhi to reply to your email? I believe you replied to the email you got for Passport request from delhi.

I'm in the same boat, its been 1 month and I have not yet received any email ?

I'm worried.

Thanks for your help.

since passports cannot be mailed internationally.

Which country's law is that, Australia or India?

Most countries allow couriering of passports with no problems.
