Zak, based on the table you have read in CIC site, your score will be:

4.5 listing (Listening) - 1 point

4.5 writung (Writing) - 1 point

4.5 read (Reading) - 1 point

6 speak (Speaking) - 2 points

Total is 5points

As you said you do not have time to take again, before your deadline then submit this.

I don't know if showing another British Council application form with another upcoming test date was done by anybody here in the forum yet,you should seek experts and seniors advise.

Don't give-up hope you need 5 points, you got 5 points. So still, I say GO for it. ;)

Go back read the instructions. The OP has 3 basics, the maximum points for basic is 2 so his/her total is 4.

I would say to send the application with current scores and then try to improve score in next IELTS exam attempt...With your first experience of test, next time you will definately do better as you know now your shortcomings in exam and you need to focus on your weak areas....Once you have the updated score, send to CHC (either on email or origional copy courier to them)

I did the same thing, I got 6.5 in listening in first attempt and 9 in 2nd attempt and I sent them the 2nd score as well...

Good luck friend...

mr javad nice score where do you live?

what to do?

Zakout,

PMM is right. You get 4 points as per the instructions.

So send ur file with the same IELTS result with a cover letter. (You can put a certified copy of the new IELTS registration saying that you intend redoing IELTS for better results)

Dont mention your points 4 or 5 in that. You never know you might be lucky to be given 5 points!!.

Try harder this time and you'll get 5. Its not that tough.

Best of Luck!!

Hi Mohammad,

one thing from me: please do not think for the officer, think for yourself ;D as it was noted here already, file whatever you have, register for another exam and attach a cover letter explaining that you are registered for an exam to further improve your score. that's it! efforts are done, wait for result and pray for good one!

p.s. you may ask your friend to have a look at your cover letter once you finish it.

Zakout first application was rejected. This is his 2nd time and still no improvement in his English skills. So guess what VO will have to offer.
It was clearly adviced by many forum members to improve his English abilities but I think he has hurried up to file again. Now lets wait and see his fate.

agree with you, but he appears to manage to get into the pre-26 June NOC list (which is good), and also please do not disregard element of luck and his ability (it always exists) to improve his ielts score. you never know what serves as an accelerating healthy kick from behind 8)
