Stupid me. I upgraded my current visa credit card at TD after I submitted my PNP application to CIO in Sydney. By the time I realized that the my credit card number will be changed if I do the upgrade, it's already too late. TD bank told me that my current credit card will become inactive in 25 days max and there's no way to extend it or cancel the new card. I used the on-line credit card payment method when I first prepared my PNP application. The payment was approved at that time, and I have included the offical receipt in my application. Right now CIC stil hasn't charged me yet, and I assume they will open my application in a month. Is there a chance that the payment will still go through? If not, what's the best way to let them know my situation besides waiting for my returned application? :( Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated..Thank you!!!

email CIO immediately

just email cic about your situation and send them a bank draft and make your payment that way, write you name, file number and date of birth on the back of the bank draft, it should be good no need to panic man cheers

Hi, I believe you have to wait till they return your application, there is possibility you payment might be through if they try to charge within 25 days.
Else I suggest you that wait for application return and make online payment and send your application back.

Could you please provide an update? I am in the same boat...

Did you make payment online? or did you fill out and then send one of those credit card authorization forms with your signature on it to the Sydney office? If you make payment online, you don't have to worry about it. Your credit card will be charged instantly if it is approved. (which turned out to be my case last year, and I was basically worrying for nothing during that time). However, if you filled out one of those credit card authorization forms, then you need to inform CIC immediately regarding your situation. Hope you will get through it.

If the payment was approved, it was charged already. TD will move all your transactions to new credit card. You can find this payment there. By the way, online payment need the payment receipt to be sent to CIO?
