My bank told me that they also need the recipient address while making the bank draft. I am making it in favor of Ontario Minister of Finance for 1500$. What address shall I use ? :-[

When I made a bank draft at Standard Chartered Bank (outside of Canada) I was not asked the address. But if they insist on it, i guess you can give their mailing address:

You people are the lucky lot. Banks in Turkey don't even know what a bank draft or a money order is... They refer me to Western Union or Moneygram. Clueless as to what to do...
Bro I'm in the same boat. Banks in my country have no clue what bank draft or cheque is. I have no way of paying the fee from Russia. The only way is to ask someone in Canada to make this payment. You should trust this person to send him money.haznac said:

Money order from Western Union will be accepted. You need to pay Western Union in local currency and they will make money order for $1500.You need to tell them money order should be in favor of Ontario Minister of Finance....haznac said:

Anyone paid by Western Union? How did you fill the Recipient name field? Is it OK if one writes the Minister's name "Charles Sousa, Toronto, Ontario" instead of "Ontario Minister of Finance" because the form requires recipient's legal name?
