I have received the required funds for express entry from my father (and have a gift deed/ affidavit for the same). The bank balance certificate and bank statement (of last 6 months) have been issued by my bank. However, it does not contain all the required information as under:

1. It does not mention the date of opening of account
2. It is silent on my debt status. Although i have not taken any loan/ debt, even then it does not contain a confirmation that there are no outstanding loans etc. (the balance certificate simply states the balance of my account as on date). Can I state in LOE and confirm that I do not have any outstanding loan etc, the same being evident from my bank statement (since no deduction of EMI etc is there)?
3. It mentions my bank balance only in INR (and not CAD). Can I myself convert it into CAD using average exchange rate and mention in my LOE?

Since my 90 days of invitation are about to expire, an early response shall be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ask the bank for it in the proper format again. If they don’t provide you the same then go ahead and attach your 6 month bank statement with a LOE explaining your situation. Best of luck.

1 - Irrelevant if you attach bank statements and/or if your bank letter has the av. balance of the past 6 months.
2 - Irrelevant.
3 - You don't have to convert anything, providing the amount in your local currency is sufficient.

Should be fine. Or LOE that the bank cert is standard template and doesn’t include the opening date but that your bank statement does indicate it.

That or provide your bank a special request letter outlining the information you need and the purpose being a requirement from the IRCC. (I did this with my own bank since they maintained that they had a template but advised me that if the info’s a must, I can request that. — ask your bank if this is an option, and if gives you more comfort).

thanks for the comment. My Bank statement does include the Opening date. though. Also I have already submitted my application. My agent did not raise an issue. he said the bank certificate mentioning the amount as to date a plus bank statement stamped of last 6 months will do fine. i have been asked for bometric scan. should I raise an LOE now.

Oh, everything must be okay then! Again, if it gives you comfort, there’s no harm in providing a follow-up LOE :)

I am sorry for the confusion, My agent only provided the balance certificate i had a call with him.

So my question is this now

My agent only uploaded the balance certificate with the latest date only.No bank statements nothing. He said that it is sufficient for now.My concern is that it does not have the account opening date(though it is a very old account more than 10 years) and it is also does not show 6 months statements. It just mentions the below thing

“The balance outstanding as on date 7th january 2020 is below:-

It mentions account number, balance name , saving account .etc”

So do i need to be concerned for this.My agent do have taken the stamped bank statements but did not uploaded it he said if they want it they will request for it.

Also the balance certificate is on bank letter head dully signed and stamped and the same certificate was uploaded to Ontario PNP..

I am sorry for the earlier post. I was under the impression my agent might have uploaded the bank statement also.

Okay. What I’m getting from this is this POF format has made it through OINP screening. I’d take that as a good sign.

Since you have an agent, as long as you trust him and he is credible, you may be able to relax a bit. It’s also good you‘ve got your BIL already. From the time you get biometrics done, give it 2-3 months as a short timeline to expect PPR. :)

so, I do not need to show my bank statements. My concern will they reject the application straightaway or they will give a chance to provide additional documents? If they want to see the bank statements, my agent already have that.

My agent works under a very big firm and said that he got it verified from canadian lawyer and it is fine, plus if Ontario has passed it(considering they are very very strict in this ) then we dont have to worry about it.
He said it is a savings account and the bank certificate is from a government bank, which makes it more authentic. If it had FD and other stuff then it would be a completely different format.

and I just had my biometric done.

Honestly? This might depend on the officer processing your file. You might receive an additional document request or ADR if they need further documents.

Yeah, just like what I said that your POF passing OINP screening is a good sign.

Save.

The way out is if you get a job offer that IRCC will consider as eligible to help you get more points for your profile and exemption from the settlement funds requirements.

Hey, can you please confirm if CIC asked any additional documents except Bank letter? I am in same situation and your response will really help.
