Please help. I'm a Canadian citizen who left Quebec October 2020 to join my husband in south Africa as soon as borders reopened.
We have since submitted spousal sponsorship. Today I was approved as a sponsor, the very same moment I sent in a webform to notify them that we will settle in Ontario.
My federal eligibility letter said if I'm a resident of Quebec that I must now apply through them...but if I haven't applied through Quebec yet, can they still update my application to reflect Ontario?
I called and spoke to and ircc agent who said it shouldn't be a problem, just to use the webform to make the update.... but I'm wondering has anyone else out there had this experience, and how did it work out?
