Below is our timeline for SG Police Clearance. As you can see here, even tho we don't have yet CIC nomination we have kick started our PCC application. Our appeal both got approved and we scheduled for fingerprint appointment 2 days after CIC nomination.

May 20, 2018 - SG Police Clearance Appeal
May 22, 2018 - SG Police Clearance Approved
May 23, 2018 - CIC Nomination
May 25, 2018 - SG Police Clearance Fingerprint Appointment

Spouse and I was able to get our SG PCC on the 25th of May.
However, CIC requested only for my spouse to re-submit SG PCC.
In our SG PCC, the "TO" date is the date we applied for appeal, which is May 20.

Yes, May 23 - CIC ITA
Thank you - Now I get It - What documents did you submit to SG police while filling an appeal since you did not had an ITA at that time? I was under the assumption that they need an ITA or letter from CIC as a prerequisite.

We used this letter and nothing else.
Spouse and I both got appeal approved even without request letter from CIC.
Hello! Thanks for this info. Can you help in my case?
Visitor visa - nov 2008
Spass - dec 2008 to sept 2012
Visitor visa - june 2013 to july 2013
Visitor visa - july 2013 to aug 2013 (granted extension after exit in malaysia then back to sg)
Visitor visa - sept 2016 (2 days only for a business trip)

Now currently living here in philippines and waiting for nbpnp. What dates should i put when i request coc? Do they also include the dates from visit visa? Can we request even before we get ITA?

hi @pizzacat

In my opinion, you should only put from Dec 2008 to Sept 2012.

Below are all less than 6 months:
Visitor visa - june 2013 to july 2013
Visitor visa - july 2013 to aug 2013 (granted extension after exit in malaysia then back to sg)
Visitor visa - sept 2016 (2 days only for a business trip)

Yes, you can request PCC even before you get CIC ITA.

I wanted to understand more as to why they would request for another PCC.
I'm thinking of getting GCMS first before re-submitting.

My husband and I are residing in Singapore and have submitted our PR application with all the required documents on 21-Mar-2018. On 27-Mar-2018 we have a mail from CIC requesting for an updated original police clearance with only my name mentioned in it.The police clearance certificated we submitted were 75 days old ( dated 14-Jan-2018) and was received this certificate using our previous ITA which we had to decline due to some reasons

I am confused about where it went wrong and how to go about this?

Please advice!!

The following is the message received from CIC:

We are continuing to review your application for admission to Canada. We require an updated original
Certificate of Clearance for members of your family who are 18 years of age or older. According to our
record we will need certificate(s) for the following individual(s):
1) "My name"
IMPORTANT: Please note that a Statutory Declaration of no criminal conviction is not acceptable as
evidence that you do not have criminal convictions. In order to obtain a Certificate of Clearance, please
refer to the following website:

Hi. I got my Singapore eCOC from SPF on 31st Dec 2018 and submitted it along with other documents while submitting Canada PR application. I had got this eCOC using my ITA. Now I’ve got the same letter from CIC that you’ve referred. Pls suggest if I should just re-submit my eCOC and just explain that I got it using ITA or should I request for a fresh eCOC from SPF using this new letter that I’ve got asking for ‘updated original certificate of clearance’. Thnx.

Hi,

I would suggest getting a new coc from SPF using the request letter that you have recieved now. At least that's what I did.

Regards.
