They transfer file due to work load redistribution and/or when they need local vo to do further checking or review. Either way, it is atleast an update. In your case, the vo still needs to do background check on your spouse. Better email or contact local vo for update.

Hello guys. Finally a ghost update today, the background status changed to “we are processing your background check”. This is after last email response 2 weeks ago that application is in queue for review of officer. Hopefully we get PPR soon. This is from Manila VO.

Congrats! This gives us hope that despite the agent said to call back after August and your background says “your application is in progress...” Sometimes i dont understand the agents whether they just give random dates just to keep you from calling them or it’s there in the file.

What is the review required for police cert? Did you have any visa refusal or answered yes to any statutory question?

I think same but for EE online, only the scanned docs are required. When you accept the ITA, you will see the checklist to upload your docs so dont worry.

It is not falsified information if you inform or update cic. And people get married anytime during or after PR application. If you get married after you land, you can go through family sponsorship. If you get married before you land then you are supposed to inform cic of this change. Not sure of...

He can visit anytime but of course he has to apply for visit visa and get approved unless he is from visa free country. If you’re saying fiancee, why dont you get married before you leave? So you can apply for sponsorship later on.

There is no fiancee in family sponsorship. Only options are married, common law (atleast 1 yr cohabitation) and conjugal (this is the hardest route and only apply to those with legal or immigration barrier). So you have to choose which you intend to apply soon.

Are you in common law relationship at the time you submitted your application? If yes, he should’ve been declared as family member or added in the application. If not, you have to sponsor him after you land in canada, assuming you are married or common law by the time you apply for family...

Thanks. I guess they are just late updating online because bg check is still not started (your application is in progress...). We are just worried because we also received PFL and in gcms notes, they just added the docs but no review status since last January. Hopefully we get ppr soon.

It was request for more proofs of common law relationship. Received it on Nov 2018 (2 months after AOR). The file was transferred to local vo that time and they sent the PFL few days after the transfer. We sent the additional docs 2 weeks after. So far no update. Were just hoping that they are...

They send PPR in batches. Send email directly to your VO to follow up and send the PPR to you.
