It is important for you to be able to support you parents during their visit in Canada BUT it is important for CIC to know they are not destitute in there home country, that they are established nicely in home country, have a comfortable life there and are not desperate to get to Canada and never look back.

Is there a place in the application form where we indicate that this application is for supervisa, instead of simple TRV? I understand the checklist requires more documents but is that it?

There will be a section "purpose of my visit" in the application, click on it, scroll down and you will see "supervisa" line.
