No ecas update yet, I suspect it will happen at the same time as when they start processing my application. The DMP's office didn't contact me when they sent the results to Ottawa. I didn't ask them to. What I did was go back and ask for confirmation and the date of when they sent it. The lady had to call me back, but she eventually confirmed that the results were sent two weeks after completion. Since the X-ray was done offsite, I think it took a week for the X-ray results to get back to the DMP's office. The DMPs are required by CIC to send the results within 1 or 2 weeks I believe, so they can't really hold your results hostage for a long time.

You are unlikely to see an ecas update until after they request your medicals.

Hello Friends,

I have gone for upfront Medical exams (eMedicals) and DMP generated a form which contains File number (UMI U******) and other details, but nothing about my File number or UCI.
Now Should I send this information as an additional document to my File so that they will refer this when it comes to Medical?
How I will get notified when they ask for it?

Thanks

I have also done upfront medical. DMP said they would send it to CPP-Ottawa. I have written my application number on all pages of the form. Hoping that CIC would be able to link it to my application.

godzilla,
I think you have to send an explicit request (A scanned copy of your Medical File through email or post) to cic to consider this Medical file number, otherwise they may generate a new Medical File for your File.

If you get any update please share.

Thanks

You could send the additional information now, or you can wait till CIC asks for your medicals. It's up to you. Personally, I sent mine in early. They will typically request medicals by email. Whenever you're sending in the item, you can include an explanation letter, or write your UCI and application number on the form 1017B.

All you need to do is send them the dorm 1017B. It's just one page with your picture, some information, and a barcode. You can write your application number and UCI on it. You can send it to Ottawa now, or wait till they ask for it. Up to you.

For both of you: If they match your medicals to your file on time, you will probably not get a new MR. If for some reason they don't match the medicals in advance, once you get your MR, you inform CIC that you already did upfront medicals, and you send in the 1017B.

I don't get my medical report. The doctor would send it directly to CPP-ottawa. How can I scan them without getting it?

godzilla,

If it is advanced and eMedicals, then the doctor would generated a number which starts with UMI****, ask for that number and a copy of it.

Does kids need to go thry medical exams ?

Yes. But not XRay test.

Any one who has completed the Upfront Medical recived the passport request ? i.e June 2012 to Sept 2012 applicants.

1) What all documents should we carry for the upfront medicals?

2) What all documents should we expect from the DM after the upfront medical is done?

3) What we should do with the documents received from the DM and how?

4) Where to do the upfront emedical in Delhi?

5) My wife is in Delhi and I am in Toronto. Can we do the upfront medicals separately?

Hello Everyone

After a long wait, Today I have received request from CIC for Biodata form and Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF).

Timeline-Details:
Application Filed: Aug 16th 2012
AOR Received: Sep 5th 2012
Request for BioData & RPRF: May 7th 2013
NOC: 2173

Hi,

I am Oct applicant and thinking of doing upfron medicals. Can someone confirm the form no that should be used for medicals. I am from Regina, the doctor here does not have emedicals and was not sure which form should be used. The lady there told me that she thinks that form 1017 should work but said that it is totally on me to advise on the form to be used.

I read somewhere in this forum that for 1017B should be used. Please advise.

Thanks

Thanks everyone,

Now received Medical request also again,
I have already submitted up-front medicals that is not going to help I guess!.

My 2 cents on it is, not to go for up-front medicals as it creates lot of confusion and you are not going to get anything.
Instead guess timelines by following forums and book medicals in advance but don't go for it.
