Hi guys,

Just want to share what i received from NY office.

Our office is currently experiencing unexpected delays in processing temporary resident (visitor) visas, work permits and study permits. Please be assured that we are doing our very best to process all applications as quickly as possible.

We understand your concern about our longer-than-normal processing times. Our office has made it our goal to process all routine applications submitted prior to December 1, 2012 by December 17, 2012. We anticipate that we should be able to finalize the majority of these applications and place the documents in the mail to return to clients by December 17, 2012. If, for reasons beyond our control, your application will not be finalized and placed in the mail by December 17, 2012, we will advise you of such by e-mail.

If you require your passport back sooner, and wish to withdraw your application, please send a message to this e-mail address. Please be sure to put the following in the subject line: "Request to withdraw application". In your reply, please be sure to include your full name, your date of birth, your sex, your passport number and the type of visa for which you have applied. Please clearly state that you wish to withdraw your application. When we receive your e-mail, we will cease all processing on your application and will place your passport in the mail within two working days to be returned to you.

Hi Augustos,

How do you get a reply from them? I have applied on November 09 for a Permanent Resident Travel document. I have sent them several e-mails and faxes about the urgency of getting that document before 16th December since I have already purchased an air ticket to Canada for Dec 18th. I haven't heard anything back from them. I don't know what to do.

i emailed them twice and i received auto reply from them.
that update was sent to me by my agent.

anyway, at least they give you some kind of auto respond, I got nothing.

I have sent an email each week. The last reply i got is for Nov 17th email, saying it will take more than 30 days.

I have not received the above mentioned email.

My passport reached Oct 15th, its almost 60 days still waiting...

Guys , any news for today. Still waiting doc. were sent on Oct. 4

I did not got any update, mine sent on Oct 10.

One of person i know sent on Oct 29, he got his passport today.

Wondering whats wrong...?

I have sent my docs on Oct 10th, reached Oct 15th through Fedex. Included return Fedex cover and paid for reverse postage.

My fedex tracking did not update for 2 months. finally got reply with my file no.

They say its been sent to me on Nov 28th through regular mail with out Tracking.

Checked Mailbox, Apartment Leasing office and Nearest Post Office the package is not at any location. Filed a claim for lost package....but of no use till day.

this is crazy. USPS is the worst way of mailing things. maybe they can mail you a new visa, while you getting a passport.

Your application for a Canadian Work Permit has been finalized. Your passport and documents were sent to you on Dec. 27 by regular mail.

Thank you for your interest in Canada."

sounds like they already approve your visa, if they use usps to mail your stuff back, it will take couple of days to reach you.

it's good news, mine arrive at the beginning of Oct, hope they finalize my application soon.

my consultant just called me and they received my pp with visa. i need to go to the u.s boarder to validate my wp.
