Update from Bucarest Embassy

Hello all,

Got some news today from Bucharest after a while now, they say they are working on our file and only paper missing is CSQ, now I have a question about it, how should I send this paper to the Embassy, by regular mail or by email?

There is someone here who can answer of my question?

by regular mail, they need an actual copy. Nothing else will be accepted. Also make sure you send the original, as a copy won't be accepted.

noooooo nooooo DO NOT send original!!!!!! the only thing they need original is police certificate and medical paper....everything else copy!!!!!!!! please don't give misguided info abt CSQ unless u had the exact same situation urself....i used to b CSQ holder and for QC is the most imp paper!!!!!!! if it's lost she cannot land and she has to apply again!!!!
yes I.N i had a feeling that maybe they miss it i told u today since email is faster, u can attach a clear photocopy of it by email - reply to the email they send (they want to make sure that u have it) and also u can send a copy by mail....

disagreed! When you get the CSQ there is one that clearly states that one is for CIC and the OTHER ONE is a copy for you. I had sent a copy of that and they told me to send the original that states "for CIC" at the bottom......

page 4 on that link...Clearly states what I mentioned. They want an original. I have been through CSQ myself... Scanned pages sent per email are NOT accepted...

In that case, I would advise sending it via courier directly to the embassy, rather than via mail.

Today you had absolutely right about CSQ, I didn't even thought about that, I thought offices comunicate between them.

Well, we will send this paper asap and after that we are going to wait for the next step, hoping will be decision made and will be fast... : .

I was really need for this news from Bucharest and I had the impression I will never get it...

hiiiii I.N yeah offices should communicate between them and they say they do but sometimes they misplace things, they didn't drink enough coffee, who knows....just how it happenned with ur initial package
belee thanks for ur clarifications and the links (i'd take a look on them when the time comes); still, there used to be an outland quebec applications an year ago through different VO's and many had the same issue (the VO's misplaced their CSQ) and they said they emailed it and it was fine.....yes they don't encourage it but usually if they don't clearly mention it, it means they don't want the original...anyway, they have to give her back the original she needs it to land; as for me i all the time have this in my mind: if they misplaced it once, what makes me sure that they won't misplace it again??? some ppl lost birth certificates for God sake!!!
I.N u can also call the embassy and make sure!!!! back in the days they used to be very helpful good luck and of course tinem legatura!!! sa ma tii la curent!!!

Just writed an email to the Embassy asking how should I do, with CSQ, I know they will answer me very soon. In their email they didn't specify any request...like "please send us the CSQ.." they just said " we recieved your file and made the nesessary corections, only paper that missing is your CSQ...." that was all...

I am going to wait now for the their answer, becouse I don't want to send them my only original CSQ, which is so important, my husbund recieved only one copie of this paper not like belee1985 who recieved two original papers...interesting at times, we see here that is different for every case; also no update on e-case even they have started processing my file...

Things going forward slowlly, and everything will come to an end very soon... .

thanks for letting me know all this....sooon (hopefully!!) we'll need to apply and go through the same thing too that's the thing when u have only the original document esti cu inima cam stransa sa-l trimiti...and then u have one more thing to worry besides getting the visa, making sure u get it back; also when u get the pp request i suggest u to go in person to drop it (don't really trust the mail there!!) that's what we did although it was like 6h by train :-\
hope they'll reply to u sooooon....try also to call them, u never know; although for us the line was always always busy but they did reply to emails still things change that was long ago
aaaa also don't rely on e-cas too much; they update it cum bate vantul some people received their visa, were already in Ca, and in the e-cas their file was still "in process" LOL

About the mail you have absolutely right, I didn't get mail from my husbund or from my family in law at all in here, and they sent me, for holidays, I was talking with my husbund and we decided to go by myself in person with my passport and take it back the same day if it's possible, if not I will visit Bucharest will be a good oprtunity for me since I was in Bucharest last time when I was 23 years old, very long time ago; I might stay there for a few days if it's need it.

And about the original copies I learned my lesson, don't want to get through something like this ever again.

Sending the original of the CSQ to the VO will seem like a very unwise move when you are in Quebec and ready to apply for RAMQ, free French lessons, or some other service that requires presenting the original document. Visa offices are not always known to return documents at the end of the application process. S/he should send a copy of it to the VO by mail/email/fax.

I am still waiting for the Embassy answer, I will not send my original one copie I have of CSQ, I 've done that in the past and it didn't turned right for me.

Embassy didn't really ask for this document CSQ at all, they just said it's the only thing it's missing into my file.

I will wait and see
