I applied to ryerson n concordia after deadlines :P lets hope for best.. and within how many days u got a reply from carleton ? @ sparsha ?

For Carleton, I applied in December, 2015... Got a reply in mid- feb, 2016...
Computer Science dept is quite hard to get into I suppose here...
Even I applied to Ryerson after the deadline... The application status changed last week - "fowarded for review"..
I was thinking to apply to Concordia, but french is my issue... Though the university is good for CS... I don't know how good is Manitoba good for CS.. Though in Linkedin, it is rated #21 for CS developers.

What do you suggest for Concordia... I saw in the portal that admissions are open till June 1st... Concordia is #6 for Software developers.

yeah applications for concordia is still alive. I have this question. Have u applied for MS (thesis) or course ? Because getting into Manitoba is not that easy without any acceptance from Professor for Thesis based program. Speaking about Concordia the chances are good getting an admit. Because the student strength is 7k+ which is relatively higher then other universities. The only problem with Concordia is French that to only when we r out of university and since the language instruction in university is english hence it wont be a problem. Even I have no idea about french but its all about adapting and learning something new :P :)

Yeah I completely agree with you on Concordia part... but if we have to secure a part time job outside, maybe it would be difficult.. I have applied for Course Based at Manitoba.. either way I heard getting an admit in MS is difficult in Manitoba... M.Eng is an easy entry..
God, we need to learn French :-[ :-X... :'(

No I have no idea on UK universities... The place is very expensive to live by.. ;)

yeah UK is way expensive but canadian universities are too slow :P yeah manitoba is bit difficult when compared to others. just give a try for concordia. manitoba, carleton are U15 universities. The selection of students is completely based on research work and work exp. U got work exp which is a added advantage for u :).. Yeah getting part time outside university is a difficult task but if we learn french den its easy :)

"canadian universities are too slow" - Quite a comment!... :p
What are U15 universities?
Yeah I shall apply to Concordia by this month end (Maybe at least one university would reply by then)... French is quite the scariest part....
Okay shall try... I want the results max by next week... It's been 3 months for me now ???

Not after the deadline, ON THE DEADLINE lol :D

Hope you have submitted in their 24 hour time span "ON THE DEADLINE" date!.. ;)

U15 universities are set of universities directly funded by canadian govt. For these universities especially in engineering research is first priority. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U15_Group_of_Canadian_Research_Universities
I will wait till the end of this month :(
My file is under dept from last one month in manitoba and still no advancement... They are in a process of checking out patience :P

That's true about patience... I applied in Dec... they are testing mine even more!.. ;)
So these universities are very good for research based, right?
I am not into research based as of now!... That's a good information!..
Are you planning for research ?

yeah.. I am planning for Research based study... with Meng we cant get into PhD later on. University of Waterloo is one of among the best for computer science.

Yeah I know.. Waterloo is a dream for everyone.. But with an average profile, I can't make it... so you intent to do PhD... Good!..

If everything goes as planned den yes will end up with PhD :P U have an advantage of Work experience. I am still in my final year (No work exp) and my cgpa are my disadvantages :( But the universities from UK which gave me admits are far far better den those i applied in canada :P still yet they are not accepting :P

oh that's cool... Canadian universities are very selective I suppose!.... I don't see any advantage with my work experience so far! :p ... How many universities you have admits from UK?
You're planning for UK or Canada?

I have 3 admits. University of Sussex. Surrey and Brunel. Sussex I don't meet the condition. If I get into Canada den Canada is 101% sure. UK is my second option. Fee and job after masters is tough in UK.. If UK den I will opt for Surrey. Satellite communications.
