Did they receive the BVL & visa number? Anyways just send a webform attaching the renewed UAE Residence to complete your part instead of getting refusal for this specific reason.

Update: I can see the visit visa document number and expiry date on the tracker today
eligibility also shows as completed on the tracker now. Background in progress

The tracker shows that the background verification was changed to in progress. This is concerning because the background check was in progress since March and now yesterday, it was updated to being in progress. I don't understand this could mean?

Applied for Visitor Visa for Canada for my daughter, her current visa expired on 25th May 2023.
Renewal applied through IRCC portal on 22nd May 2023
Minor - so no Medical and Background Verification.
Status - "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility"
Any May 2023 applicants?

does eligibility shows as completed for u?
mine shows eligibility completed while background check in progress but I didn't get the activity status update like you did
sorry for the late answer and yes you can track your passport either by phone or on the website
the embassy keept the passport for 5 days only (abu dhabi embassy in UAE)
guys this process is just endless! and really frustrating. it isn't normal that my parent's have been waiting for their supervisa for a year and 4 months. no one is helping, I tried contacting the MP couple of times but unfortunately no one would do anything about it! is anyone still waiting from beginning of 2022? and do you have any advices of what to do?
Same here with my applicator even processing is now 105 days.mine applications is more than 120 days
Just logging in to share some good news. After 1 year and 2 weeks, we got PPR for my mom's super visa application. Just waiting for my father's as well. The MP's office confirmed a bring forward date of July 9th which is why we are seeing this amazing progress. Best of luck to everyone. I cannot put in words the stress, anxiety, and anxiety associated with our application since it took so long with very little communication. But at the end of the day, Allah will take care of it the way it is supposed to. My best wishes to everyone
