Can someone tell me how long does it take to get u passport back for TRV？I submitted via vfs Dubai on 17 July …. Also besides the msm, do you also get an update on the ircc portal? My ircc portal still showing that they are processing my background check….

The document number and validity date is visible on the application status tracker. I submitted my passport to VFS Wafi Mall and was told I should get it back in 3-4 weeks. My passport has been with IRCC for 17 calendar days.

hey I might have asked you this before, I don't remember to be honest. Was this your first-ever application? and what type of visitor visa was it? (study,work,visit)

I heard that this is happening sometimes. One of my friends had the same issue but they sent the second PPR couple of days after so I believe there is no need to worry.

MP received reply from IRCC last week abt my mother's application " all assessments are passed and application is in queue for final decision "
But Now it's more than 1 week but no response

The reason for refusal is not satisfying office to leave Canada at the end of the stay and the purpose of the visit is not consistent with a temporary stay. All the documents were provided. Hello,

I am planning to apply for a visitor visa to Canada from UAE, I have a friend there who can provide me with an Invitation Letter. My friend is on a work visa there, and she can provide proof of her rental lease (Ending November 2023).

I am hesitating between whether I should go with a normal hotel booking and go for “Tourism” option, or to submit an invitation letter and go for “Visit a friend”.

The reason behind my hesitation is that I have been told that it might take longer time to study the visa request as they must do background check for the person inviting.

Please advise.

I wanted to share that both my wife and I recently obtained our Temporary Resident Visas (TRVs). After that, I applied for TRVs for my 13-year-old and 16-year-old sons in the UAE on May 25th, and their applications have exceeded the normal processing time.

Here's a timeline of events:

May 25th: Submitted the applications.
May 26th: Completed biometrics for my 16-year-old son.
Background check: In progress.
Eligibility: Not started.

I'm curious if anyone has experienced a similar situation. I'm also wondering if the age of my sons could be a reason for the delay. Your insights would be appreciate
