FOSS ( Field Operations Support System) is a CIC system that contains landing information on immigrants entering Canada.Baljas said:Hello . Just received my gcms notes . Can anone tell me what is "Foss check " is ? It says Foss check no traceable found .
I think thats something which they do internally. I don't think there is any relationship of due date with final decision directly. I saw many due dates in my GCMS notes and all were some earlier months e.g. April, may and June.redd456 said:hey guys never mind, i found the due date. It says MAY 8th, But i got nothing though.
I've seen rejections post nomination in CIC stage due to NOC mismatch.artray said:Work experience is checked in Ottawa only if you are a CEC or FSW Inland applicant. It is completely ignored by Ottawa or LVO if you have a nomination, because they just assume that the check has been done by the regional nomination board. The LVO usually does the check mostly for FSW Outland. As long as your NOC is met at Ottawa, the rest of the work experience check is a breeze coz it is done mainly as a formality. Hope this helps Don't worry and stay positive
Yeah, this is not accurate at all. Ottawa CPC undoubtedly checks for all FSW, CEC & PNP A11.2 requirements, regardless of provincial nomination or not. In fact, there are many applicants with EE PNPs that are rejected due to gaps in information, or NOC mismatches. Immigration is a federal responsability, the provinces can only 'nominate' their candidates, but the final decision and revision is always left to the state. Regardless, one should stay positive, always.artray said:Work experience is checked in Ottawa only if you are a CEC or FSW Inland applicant. omstar said:Yeah, this is not accurate at all. I was speaking of detailed work experience check - NOC checking (which is part of A11.2) is a basic eligibility check that is always one of the first checks done at Ottawa. Please read my response in conjunction with the question and the last sentence of my response that you have quoted. Ottawa CPC undoubtedly checks for all FSW, CEC & PNP A11.2 requirements, regardless of provincial nomination or not. Correct. In fact, there are many applicants with EE PNPs that are rejected due to gaps in information, or NOC mismatches. Again only NOC is checked, not detailed work experience for PNPs because these checks are done by the nominating body. Exceptions are always there, especially if something raises a red flag or is inconsistent. Immigration is a federal responsability, the provinces can only 'nominate' their candidates, but the final decision and revision is always left to the state. Yes, that's what CIC always says, but PNPs have a great chance of receiving an ITA due to a 600 points increase. Regardless, one should stay positive, always.
valsanail said:Friends, what exactly A11.2 covers? Overall completion of your application (in terms of supporting documents uploaded) related to your claimed work experience - this includes whether you meet the points allocated to you for your work experience when you received your ITA. Does this also include NOC match or not? YES, NOC is the main thing checked.
Great info! Didn't know this oneMrTee said:FOSS ( Field Operations Support System) is a CIC system that contains landing information on immigrants entering Canada.
eg if you have / had a visitor or a temporary pass in Canada.

or maybe I don't get what you mean by "Work experience check"? Meaning detailed check of background of work experience like calling employers and stuff. NOC is checked at Ottawa always as part of A11.2. Mentioned that in a few posts a couple of pages before on this thread and in the same post - last line - that you quoted.
