Hi,

What are the ways to pay fees?

Unable to pay through CIBC visa debit card (doesn't have a name of the holder on it).

Suggest something, please! Urgent.

??

It is declining the payment through CIBC card!

Your debit card should work if it has a 3 digit code on the back. Maybe you have a limit on it though, and that's why it's not going through. When I paid with my card, I had to login online and I noticed that my limit for online transactions was way too low, so I changed it and it worked. So I suggest you try to do the same thing, and if you can't find the option online, call your bank.

Did you use CIBC bank's visa debit card?

No, I paid for my application fees with a different card outside Canada, but it should be the same rule for every bank. I have a CIBC debit card, probably exactly like yours, and I know that it can be used to pay for anything. If you have enough money in your account, it should go through, so the only problem is probably the limit. Check with your bank and I guarantee 99% that it will resolve your issue. Also, if you have both Chequing and Savings accounts, maybe you keep everything in your Savings? I believe the card takes money from "Chequing", so you can move the amount over to it. You can do it online.

Ok, I check the limit then.

Btw, can principal applicant pay the fees? I am from India and I have a Citi Bank account.

I had this problem. My daily transaction limit is 1000.00 and my bank won't change it. We left off the permanent resident fee and will pay it later.

Wow.. :)

So I can pay this fees from Indian from an Indian bank account in INR! That's what you did?

You can probably pay the fee in portions, as long as it goes to the same account/name.
Pay one day application fee, tomorrow settlement fee, third day sponsor fee. Attach 3 receipts.

It must:

be from a Canadian bank using online interac, and

You can't use a non-Canadian debit card , but you can can use you Indian credit card .

If your debit card is Visa or Mastercard and it has a 3 digit number on the back, it will work. It works like a credit card. Back in the days debit cards did not have the 3 digit code and you were not able to use them online.
