Hello
We are looking to emigrate to Canada. My fiancee and I have a 6 month old daughter we are all from the UK My fiancee is a self employed IT consultant. His father is a Canadian citizen ( for last 5yeArs)
We are unsure whether he can sponsor the three of us, reading the forum it suggests we would not be high priority, or whether my fiancee would be better in getting a job and us moving as temporary residents along with him.

Any advice would be appreciated as we are keen to start our new lives whilst baby is still young.
Thank you

If either one of you could get a job and a work permit, that would be one way of doing it. The main problem is finding an employer who is willing to go through the hassle. The employer has to apply for a labour market opinion before a work permit can be issued so he has to prove that he has advertised and couldn't find a qualified Canadian who wanted the job.

The father could sponsor you if he is living in SK or MB and has lived there for a year. That would be under the provincial program family stream.

SORRY THIS IS NOT RELATED TO YOUR TOPIC ... BUT I REALLY LIKE YOUR NICK DUCKANDDUFUS ... ;D
