UK degree holder need IELTS for admission in canada

Hi guys
I need some info about IELTS
I have done my master degree in Mechanical engineering from uk and have been doing a job for more than a year.
I am planning to move canada for further studies, do I still needs IELTS to get admission and study permit, is there any requirement of canadian embassy?

No you don't need to provide IELTS. Nonetheless, it depends on the university and the programme. General rule is if you have completed a degree in an English speaking country for 1 year or so, you don't need to provide any language proof. Additionally, you need to provide university WES report (degree equivalence report) where they always mention 'Medium of Instruction': English for the UK.

If you are applying for FSW - IELTS is mandatory. It doesn't matter where you completed your education or what country you are from. No IELTS = automatic refusal.

The poster above was talking about study permits. IELTS isn't mandatory for study permits.
