UCI number Visa refusal

i applied for a study permit but was refused a visa. Will I have a UCI and if yes where do I find it?

Your refusal letter should have your UCI number and your application number on the top.

UCI is given once you applied for Visa..it's in your AOR. They give you that when they set you the AOR saying they received your application.

My refusal letter only has my file number
Though I'll look for aor, I applied through vfs

If it contains 8 numbers then I think it is UCI number

It's not 8. It's more than 8. Also has letters and is without a -

If it is ten digits then it is most probably file/application number.

My study permit application was also refused and I got to know my UCI from the refusal letter - it was printed in upper left corner, clearly indicated as UCI.
Can anyone advise me, should I use this UCI when reapplying? Or should I left UCI field blank in the IMM 1294 form?

You must use the UCI you got because sooner or later if you reapply they will find it.
