Hello all
Does any one know about Uber driver requirements?
Is there anything like having at least one year license in Canada or such restrictions like the US?

I do not know the Uber driver requirements, but one requirement with the CRA is that once you register with UBER it is mandatory that your register for a GST/HST account with the CRA. The threshold for registering for a gst/hst account for a small business/sole proprietorship is $30k over a 12 mohth period, with ridesharing there is no such threshold. So from the get go you must collect the tax for the government and submit, on a monthly, quarterly or annual reporting period. Not registering does not release you from your responsibility with collecting the tax for the government and remitting it. Once you register, along with your T1 filing, you would file a T2125, which is the form for sole proprietorship, business/professional income, this income from uber would fall under business income. See the following link with the CRA for further information, and instructions if you elect to rideshare

Usually means that you have been driving for approximately a year. It will all depend on whether you an transfer your current driver license. Your insurance costs are likely to be huge. You are a new Canadian driver and you need business vehicle coverage. May not be worth doing given your insurance premiums.
