I applied on 14th Oct 2017 online & send all docs to them through courier & got confirmation of recived docs & till today no reply from them, send regualr reminder emails also & given some conatct number of online department to contact, but tried no one picking for the past 10 days.

Please let me know how long took for your PCC in receiving????

Any suggestions highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I applied through J.K. Consultancy, they said it would take 4 weeks and I received it via them on time.

Does the PCC have your name and your fathers name attched to it, it makes it look like you have a long name, is this accepted by IRCC?

Adding to @Gibacho's question above - is it okay to get PCC from a separate Emirate than the one you reside in? I live in Abu Dhabi but the online link is for Dubai Police. Can I get PCC from there?

You can just use the MOI app to request for a PCC certificate- very straight forward and you should receive it within twenty four hours.

it doesn't matter which emirate you get it from. the process with Dubai police is fairly simple and completely online and you will get it within 24 hours.

Just updating here in case anyone is in the same situation as me - in order to get PCC from India, we need to submit a PCC from the UAE as well. So I just spoke to someone at the Indian Embassy, they said to get the local PCC from the emirate that issued my residency visa i.e. Abu Dhabi

In case you opt for BLS to do your Indian PCC- recommend you do it ASAP since we have crossed a waiting period of over 55 days and this has caused delay in us submitting the application.

55 days? That's unreasonably long! Is there any other way to get the PCC from the Embassy or Consulate itself?

Honestly not too sure. When I had spoken with the embassy in June they told me to do it via BLS.

Alternatively you could do your PCC in India if you plan a vacation in the next few weeks- given a choice I would have opted for this option considering how long the BLS route has taken ! Here’s hoping it comes through and soon !

just look into your history and see if you even need an Indian PCC in the first place. I assumed I needed it too and got it from the consulate but then later found out while submitting my application that I didnt need it since I have never lived in India for over 6 months in the past 10 years.

Thanks Viki ! Unfortunately, I need it since I fall into the category for having the Indian PCC- hoping that atleast by the end of the month I’ll get it !
