did you get an email or you checked randomly ?

I submitted a comment to CIC to start accepting FBI reports from authorized private agencies. I mentioned two reasons.
1. Private agencies use electronic fingerprints and hence are quick and much less likely that fingerprints get rejected
2. Electronic fingerprints are more accurate and so the FBI report will also be more accurate

If many of us request this they may accept it. So go to secure dot cic dot gc dot ca/feedback-retroaction/form-forme-eng.aspx?type=2 and submit your comment.

Submitted today, got AOR today (May 1).

Still waiting on PCC - included a copy of the channeler fingerprint report, and a letter of explanation that indicated that the regular certificate was ordered.

Hello guys,

It seems most people in this subject have already gotten ITA. Congrats!
Since I plan to apply for EE (to get the US RP is so difficult), I have some questions. I really appreciate if you could give me any assistance.
1) for all work experience listed in application, what proof do I need to provide? reference letters from all employers?
2) whether all the work experience should be in the same NOC catogory? For instance, I have worked as a staff in a university for 2 years. But the other work experience is doing research. I wonder whether it makes sense that I put the 2 years' experience in this application.
3) Does anybody know how to get a Canada police certficate in the US? What's the procedure? like where I can get fingerprinting? what accredited company to send document? what is the time line? Do I need to prepare for it b/f I start appliation?
4) What is Job Bank? I was told that we need to register b/f start application.

Update:
Today I see updates in MyCIC account. Did not get an email from CIC for status updates. Yet.
The changes are:
Medicals - Passed
Background check - In Progress

All other statuses have no changes in them
ECAS is yet to reflect the Medicals passed/received status.
ECAS PR application status is still IN PROCESS

You should see a update email from CIC tomorrow morning or Monday morning. They usually update the my cic portal during business hours eastern time and the update email follows the next day. You should also see your ECAS change to " Application Received" in the next 4-7 days.

I mailed it to FBI at the end of January. Finally my card was charged a week ago. And from friends' experience, it's still gonna take a month for me to receive it. FBI PC is a huge pain. I'm so glad now cic changed the valid period of PC from 3 months to 6 months. Such a big improvement.
Hi,
I thought FBI sends the pcc in 3-4 weeks. Yours is taking lot of time. Please share if you received the pcc from fbi yet.
I just applied last week and thought i would get this month but not sure now.

Also can you please share where cic has increased the validity of pcc from 3 months to 6 months as my pr application guide still says 3 months. Any more information will be helpful.

Thanks for sharing the time taken to get pcc. By the time we receive the pcc from FBI we would have the other PCCs expired. Too much time these days which was usually 3-4 weeks 3 years ago. Anyway i just send the request for pcc to fbi last week, oh my god, i do not know when i will get it :(

Rules have changed. If you are living in usa presently....it should be less than 6 months before you apply. If you had lived in usa before, any fbi pcc after the time you have left the country is valid. Google CIC pcc.

For a fresh fbi pcc, it usually takes 14 weeks after they received it.

US folks, need some advice. I have one query and may be someone was in the same situation before can help me.

I submitted my ECA evaluation for my USA master degree to WES. Now I have read in many posts that it is better to go for bachelor ECA also even if you get points for the highest degree.

I used WES USA service for my bachelor(India degree) evaluation in 2012. Can WES Canada use documents from old evaluation and consider for ECA evaluation? Does anybody has similar experience ? it is very difficult for me to get documents from my bachelor degree university in India.
