I got the following update from IRCC.

The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx has been dispatched from the IRCC Office, to the Canada Visa Application Centre in NEW DELHI.
PLEASE FIND TRACKING ID- xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx AWB NO-xxxxxxxxxxxxx FOR FURTHER INFORMATION

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------


Any idea how long could it take them to send the passport?

No Idea..... Someone got this message on 7thOct and got delivery on 12thOct.... This may vary ...

like when it reached IRCC and when did you recieve the counterfoil message ??

Did you get any sort of message when you recieved counterfoil message in your CIC account to check ??

UPDATE : Just recieved the following text.


Visa application, tracking ID No. Xxxx.
Your processed decision envelope has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre in New Delhi OC, on Fri Nov 12 2021. We shall further send this to the Canada Visa Application Centre(New Delhi OC) - VFS Global

I also got another text saying Decision envelope has been couriered from the Canada VAC, but the airway bill has not been activated yet.

I got this first msg initially before they started processing my passport. Idk why.

They allocate the AWB in advance when they start the process.
When you check GCKey, if the counterfoil reference is mentioned then the stamping can be expected to be done and sent to the courier on the same day or the next day.

Counterfoil can only be checked in GC key ? Or will it show on VFS tracking website page too ?
Will there be any text message in the phone, when the visa is stamped?

1. Yes. At the same time, the tracking will show - Envelope has been dispatched from IRCC to VAC Delhi.
2. SMSs are received - a. Envelope is received at VAC, New Delhi b. Envelope has been couriered to Courier Partner. Updated in the Tracking also.
