How long after making the payment do you receive confirmation with the awb number?

I got mine after 2 days (over the weekend).
I got about four mails asking for the payment, I paid using the first one.

Update: 5 people got counterfoils today, spousal pr, on whatsapp groups, all went to Ahmedabad vfs and then to ircc delhi.

To whatever degree you think that is weird, it is actually fact. VFS seems to distributing their workload (and I am guessing this is just to buy time to deliver passport to IRCC Delhi as there may be rush of passports waiting to be stamped). Dont worry, eventually it will come back to IRCC Delhi

No, the chennai VFS would some prep work, then it will go to Delhi. I guess all passport stamping goes to Delhi
