Is it ok if the medical is expired before we land as long as the visa is valid or the medical needs to be valid along with the visa?

No you need to send it in a separate envelope. One passport and relevant document in one envelope.

Passport reached IRCC and under process- 1st April
Passport dispatched from IRCC & counterfoil generated- 14th April.

Thanks for reply..actually my wife does not have last name in her passport..in the application we kept the first name as blank and last name as thw full name..VFS form does not allow to keep first name or last name as blank..any idea what can be done?..

Hi Jass, I am also facing same issue, no last name in passport , how should I fill VFS form? how did you get past this situation.?

Just fill first name in both columns n it will work...did it for my uncle...
