Could someone please help me with my query? I'm getting a little jittery about this.

What does it mean when the IRCC email says they need to "receive the passport package within 30 days"? Does that mean that IRCC needs to receive it, or that deadline is only up to the passport collection by VFS?

IRCC Office needs to receive it. But Its still fine now in covid times as 30 days does not matter now. You can still send it beyond 30 days time.

Oh okay, thank you! I was under the impression that they were pretty strict with that deadline.
The issue is, I'm travelling overseas during the 30 day window, so I need to reschedule my return in order to submit my passport in time.
I know there was a clarification issued by IRCC that they were granting an additional 90 days to submit documents, but I thought that was withdrawn from April 2021. Would you happen to know if that's still valid?

90 days is for Documents submission for PR application if you receive ITA, if I am getting it right. But for rest like Biometric & Passport stamping in 30 days is not adhered to now, or until they make it official that they are going to stick with 30 days.

Oh okay. I guess I should still try to stick to the 30 days window at least with respect to VFS picking up my passport. Don't want to tempt fate.
Would it make sense to inform them about a potential delay, however? Through the IRCC web-form? Do you or does anyone else have any experience with that IRCC web-form specifically?
