I called VFS first thing this morning and they told me to NOT handover the passport package to Bluedart until i receive the AWB email from them, and they still haven't sent me the email, said they have escalated the issue. On the other hand bluedart guy called again. I am so confused.

You need to give the package to bluedart person. They will only call you once AWB number is assigned to you. Same thing happened to my husband, we didn’t receive any email and then bluedart guy called. He will have your AWB number. My husband submitted his passport already and it’s in processing now.

It really depends on who you get to speak to when you call them. My parents never got an email from VFS. They were contacted directly by bluedart. When the bluedart person came, he had their names and airway bill numbers. The passports were handed over to him and next day we got a confirmation email and text from VFS that they have received the passports and are sending it to IRCC. Today we got an email and text that the passports have reached IRCC and are under process. I know there are others on this forum who have done it this way. I think you should be fine but of course you have to be comfortable with what you are doing.

Hi experts, I need help. I do not have last name on my passport. I got request to submit my passport. I went to vfs India website to fill the webform and found that I can't leave either last name or first name field empty. Please can anyone help me and let me know what to do in this case.
I tried calling vfs but they don't pick the call.

Thanks for reply..actually my wife does not have last name in her passport..in the application we kept the first name as blank and last name as thw full name..VFS form does not allow to keep first name or last name as blank..any idea what can be done?..

My passport is under processing at IRCC New Delhi since 8th October. Everyone else seems to be getting return AWB number but I didn’t receive any mail or sms. On top of that since last five days I’m unable to access my GCKEY account. This is making me worried.

Thursday, Friday and Monday. I am not getting any further email from VFS side. Is this normal??? I am confused..
How many more days? As people are getting stamping within 1-2 working days.

Hello, if you've got your surname filled in your passport that will be the last name to fill in the web form.

Note: These field names are w.r.t. Indian Passport

If either of the fields Surname or Given Name is empty in your passport then - FYI
I don't want to give you a heart attack as you read this, pardon me! Here's what I'd done but for a different country years back. My passport just had Given Name and Surname was blank. Couldn't proceed so, I'd to renew my passport with Given Name and Surname (Just initials won't be accepted either). Believe someone else has got better answer.

They can take 14 working days !!! If you do not receive any message in 14 working days! You have authority to call vfs and ask then to push the process of stamping .!! VFS have authority to contact IRCC delhi and ask them to push the process .!! (Thats what vfs guy told me on phone)

Hello experts,
Kindly clarify my query.

I am CEC outland applied from India.
AOR 09TH APRIL 2021.
MEP BIL 26th April 2021
RPRF request 18th May 2021
PPR 09TH OCT 2021
I have received three passport request letters on 09th Oct. One for me and other 2 for my accompanying dependents.

In my passport letter, it is mentioned to send my passport within 30 days to New Delhi Visa office.

In other 2 dependent passport letters, it is advised to send the passports of dependents to New Delhi visa office within 30 days of Primary applicant getting the COPR !

So I am confused whether to send first the passport of only Primary applicant ! After receiving PA COPR, send passports of dependents.

Some are suggesting to send all three passports by raising 3 webforms and paying for the courier services since all three have received PPR letter.

Please let me know. Thanks.

Ones passport successfully deliver to VFS New Delhi, Next working day you will get Email/text notification with your tracking ID and return AWB number. as per email subject line it say requested additional details BUT this is VFS standard format. no need to reply this email.

you can track your VFS passport application with tracking ID after 24 hours. tracking link:

My outland spouse’s passport went under process with ircc on 21st september and after that no update.

How to talk to vfs person? I mesaged them on twitter and they said:

Hi, please note that the timeline for processing an application or passport stamping & the outcome of a visa decision is the Sole Prerogatives of IRCC and VFS can in no way influence the same. You will receive an update via email once stamping is done and dispatched by the Embassy. We request your understanding & patience.

Next they said: Hi, we'd advise you to connect with The High Commission of Canada to get this resolved, please write to delhiimmigration@international.gc.ca

I sent an email no reply so far.

I opened a web form and it said we will reply in 30 days if ur application has passed normal processing time.


Such a miserable situation.
