Turkish Identity Card is in Turkish. Do we need a translated version?

The applicant's Identity Card is in Turkish. We currently have a color copy of back and front. Do we need to translate it?

On the guide for Turkey, it doesn't say it needs to be certified.

Absolutely YES. Everything that isn't in English or French should be translated into these languages

I would worry more about to have it notarized than translated as you are sending a photocopy of it. Authenticity is probably of a bigger concern to an officer. We had not have it translated and had no problem but don't take it as an advice as it is your call.
