It may be very difficult to get approved. There will be concern that whoever applying will not return due to economic crisis.

We had our biometrics done on sep 19, eligibility completed on sep 25, and the background check in progress. What about you, we haven't received any further updates yet.

Btw we are going for a tourist visit visa for a family visit, so probably it all depends on what type of temp residency.

My biometrics is done on feb 2023 for my PR…so I didn’t need to do it again, background check in progress from august and eligibility in progress starting 31 October 2023

Would expect either refusal or approval very quickly or it taking a few months. It appears as though your applications are going through manual reviews by an employee not a computer program.

Btw we are going for a tourist visit visa for a family visit, so probably it all depends on what type of temp residency.

If a Lebanese citizen TRV results will be very dependent on your ties to Lebanon, your current situation in Lebanon (eg. A job that pays you in another currency and deposits your salary into a non-Lebanese bank), proof of international travel as a family to places like the US, reason for visit with your family and how family members got status in Canada.

Posted processing times are just estimated averages and often incorrect. I would not focus too much on the posted time and monitor other applicants from Lebanon if you want an idea of how long other people have waited recently. There isn’t much you can do unless your application takes significantly longer than other applicants applying from Lebanon.
