Hi there,

I think you dont need lawyer to apply for PR or TRV. Everything is pretty clear on CIC website, however, if you dont have enough time to go through the CIC link then yeah go ahead get a lawyer. Hope I answered the question. All the best.

Hi Everyone, I received my spouse's passport today after TRV stamping. She just has one name on passport which we had put in Surname/Family Name section as per guidelines

Noticed that her name on VISA has "," at the end like e.g Smith,

To be clear her first name on passport is published as family name in VISA with "," in end.

Is it normal?? Just want to be double sure

Hello everyone!

Does anybody know if I can bring my passport personally to the Consulate after the request ?

The thing is I have to go to Ottawa this week and it seems like a good idea to take a chance and not to mail but just to go there. Is it possible ?
